Garland Duvall, Chief Executive Officer
Mr. Duvall is CEO and CTO of Datatrac. Prior to Datatrac, he was COO of 1stAg, Inc., where he led the company through a complete restructuring, during which sales were increased and development schedules were met.
Prior to 1stAg, he was VP of Product Development for Brokat Technologies, which specialized in web-based solutions for the banking industry for corporate, small business, and personal banking customers. Before joining Brokat, Mr. Duvall was Chief Architect for Harbinger Corporation, a leading provider of eCommerce software, including traditional EDI products. As CTO, Mr. Duvall is responsible for Research and Development, including custom coding for customers, Network Operations and IT. He holds a BS in Computer Engineering from Clemson University.
Chris Porras, Chief Financial Officer
Mr. Porras began his professional carrier with the public accounting firm of KPMG in Atlanta as an auditor. He has held accounting, finance and treasury positions with public companies such as Turner Broadcast System, Inc. and American Business Products. Mr. Porras returned to public accounting with PricewaterhouseCoopers in their Transaction Services group as a Manager assisting clients with mergers and acquisitions. Most recently, he held the position of Vice President of Finance and Corporate Controller of EmployBridge, a $500 million dollar privately held staffing company. After proudly serving as a Combat Engineer in the United States Army, he attended the University of Southern California. Mr. Porras graduated with honors with a BS in Accounting and continued his education by earning a Master of Science in Finance from Georgia State University.
David Norman, VP Customer Care
Mr. Norman manages Customer Support and Operations. He started with Datatrac in 1981 as a software developer and has continually displayed his leadership abilities in various management roles in Customer Care, Operations, and Product Development. Mr. Norman holds a BBA in Management Science from the University of Georgia.
John Tucker, VP Product Management & Marketing
Mr. Tucker manages all aspects of product and market strategy to insure that Datatrac delivers innovative solutions for its customers. Before joining
Datatrac, he gained over 17 years experience in marketing with the previous nine years focused on strategic management of enterprise technology products. Prior to joining Datatrac, he held a senior product management position with iAnywhere Solutions (a Sybase company) defining technology solutions for the mobile workforce. His background also includes profitable management of software product lines at Inovis, a leading provider of eCommerce and EDI software. Mr. Tucker earned his BBA in Marketing from North Georgia College.
David Leach, Chairman
Mr. Leach is Chairman and a director of Datatrac. Before Datatrac, he was COO of Procuri Inc., an Atlanta-based company that is the leader in strategic sourcing software for enterprises. Prior to Procuri, he co-founded Harbinger Corporation in Atlanta in 1983. Harbinger provided software, value-added
network services, business process outsourcing services, and consulting to enable companies of all sizes to send and receive electronic documents and manage their supply and demand chains. He held positions as VP of Marketing and Sales, President of the Financial Services Division, COO, CEO, Vice Chairman and Acting Chairman over a 17-year career with the company. He grew Harbinger to $155 million in revenue with $20 million in operating income and was instrumental in the sale of the company in June 2000 for $1.3 billion. Since then, he has consulted to several companies in Atlanta to create growth strategies, assist with M&A decisions, and provide guidance and counseling to CEOs. He holds his BA from Sheffield University in England and his MBA from Harvard University. He is also a CPA.
